humans generally can't be trusted to make their own choices absent a rigid moral framework (whether that framework comes from the Church, honor culture, or parents). and the collapse of society probably has more to do with universal enfranchisement than mate choice

That is such a reddit-tier progressive tic. "Women are <x>" "Ahem, *humans* are <y>" No, men and women are very different in almost every way - saying something about women isn't a mistake or the result of misspeaking.

as long as you’re cool accepting if women bear all the blame in your mind that means women hold all the power you wanna claim men are powerless, you can, that’s your call

Doesn't follow. Past men are responsible for throwing away millennia of wisdom telling them they needed to keep women under tight restraint b/c the alternative was destroying society in a way that makes recovery near impossible Far harder to get out of a bad equilibrium than in

if past men relinquished & past women obtained & current men not responsible then current women not responsible

Who's talking about blame? The important part is to get men to understand - deep in their bones - that the old rules existed for a reason so when everything collapses completely the society that rises from the ashes doesn't make the same stupid mistakes.

That's cause and effect. It's not "blame" because it's not "and therefore women should be punished for this because they could have done better but chose not to" - it's "this is the inevitable outcome of a society making such a stupid choice".

lack of punitive measure is not probative as to allocation of blame/not being the cause of an effect is demonstrative of responsibility for said effect

Replying to @cateliseh @CovfefeAnon and
but if you think it was a societal issue, no longer solely due to women “making their own sexual choices,” okay

It's a societal issue to decide to let women make their own sexual choices. Obviously they will make disastrous choices and get bailed out of them because society doesn't have the will to let women suffer the consequences of their actions.
