and here I thought that the biggest problem of WWII was that it was an alliance of liberal progressive communism and honest authoritarian communism to conquer and divide the world between them. (and yet, this doesn't happen if the old order isn't dead after WWI)

It also doesn't happen if the Communists hadn't totally penetrated the American government. Venona decrypts claim there were around 300 Soviet spies/fellow travelers in the FDR admin.

You're saying the same thing there. The energy of the old order was gone, it was dead - the elites all converted to a new, living religion to replace the old order.
