That illusion is long gone - dead from 60 years of trying this and that intervention to close the gap and none working. Where's the cultural energy behind a new Head Start? Gone - dead The only people left are the absurd academics who pretend to be unconvinced of genetic causeshttps://twitter.com/Outsideness/status/1406122718341124102 …

A highly predictive polygenic score for intelligence would be the coup de grace. My understanding is that it’s a ways away

There is no coup de grace because the goalposts shift. Every particular argument that gets made is undermined by some fact and the rebuttal is merely to shift the ground. How do you argue that racism causes differences in brain volume / gestation period / pelvic opening width?

PGS tests are different as they can filter down to normies. Everyone (especially elite women) has an unsaid preference for high IQ babies and sperm donor testing and/or embryo selection can satiate that want.

Notice how there’s little moral outcry over test tube babies (IVF) as the treatment has been recognised as deeply useful to elite women (same reason abortion is never getting banned).

There's no moral outcry over most things - why would you expect there to be one over IVF? Moral outcry only happens when the moral outcry is useful for progressives to gain power.

Maybe abortion is a better example: morally horrific, but useful. HBD is currently only morally horrific but not useful to the average person. If it becomes unquestionably practical for a large % of individuals, then society will bend over to integrate it

HBD isn't morally horrific in any way - it's a set of beliefs about how things actually are (accurate beliefs). Only actions can be morally horrific - which demonstrates perfectly that "morally horrific" is merely "what is useful to progressives".

I’m here with you, but we’ve been exposed to this stuff long enough that we can read Sailer and chuckle at his jokes. 99% of normies would have a serious system shock at rugpulling the basis for post WW2 morals.
