Portland is on its 500th consecutive night of rioting and there were hundreds of riots over the last year.

Right, and Portland is an immensely leftist city, in an immensely leftist state. But if you talk to even the Democrat cops there they hate it. Try it, they'll openly confess A state that says "lol no" from the head down is an immensely different state of affairs

They "hate" it but still make sure no one touches a hair on the head of the state mob The thing about a state saying "lol no" from the top down is that the feds have a lot of different levers to pull and the state has to say no to all of them and some fed levers get more support

So let them do that, and see what happens. I already addressed all this in the original thread, I don't think it's terribly likely, I'm just saying the Fed doesn't ultimately have the will to enforce itself, which it obviously doesn't.

They have a lot of will for doing whatever they need to do. The current head of ATF is a guy who posed triumphantly with a charred corpse at Waco.

Meanwhile Trump isn't even in jail with all his family, let alone executed. These people don't have the will to do anything they are snivelingly bragging about. Cards on the table, they won't do any of it if they have to take "direct action." Because they're too weak.

The one thing I'll say about that is that he did leave office in such a way that demolished the idea of him being a leader to the right faction - which actually did make him less of a target and could have been part of an offered deal. He could still be arrested though.

Thought provoking debate. My gut agrees with
@17cShyteposter . But I'll add, I think the weakness is much in part to the inertia of a bloated beauracratic Federal System. The System, perfectly reflected in Biden, cannot learn any new tricks, cannot step outside ingrained habit1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Going after a former President, no matter how hated, would be like Biden taking up gymnastics, he simply can not do it, and everyone knows it'll end badly.

They've done a lot of things in the last 18 months that everyone knows will end up badly.
