If this is correct the vax causes damage via the same mechanism as the virus - except that the version vax is highly limited because you run out of it so it stops producing spike proteins while the virus reproduces. No. The hypothesis here is bc the vax is ONLY spike protein. This is why antibodies create theorized autoimmune response. Normal virus response would attack the information sent after spike protein breach hence avoid attacking cell itself

My understanding of virus assembly is that it uses the cells' machinery to put out protein coats and copies of the genetic code and those assemble within the cells in a stochastic process so you have spikes floating around as well as complete viruses.

I'm as far from an expert here as possible but if the spike is what binds to the outside of the cell if it changes it won't be able to bind any longer. If it changes in another way that it's no longer recognized *and* it can still bind then you'll need a new vax / booster.
