I highly recommend De Jouvenal's "On Power" in this regard, although his thesis is not precisely what I outlined, it is close enough and foundational to it either way

De Jouvenal is of course a favorite of Moldbug and neo-absolutists but I think it is worth asking, at what point does mere faction conflict supposedly become "leftism." Its not as if there will ever be a political system without conflict.

I think leftism and national-centralization are inextricably linked for the reason stated above ... the egregore is most useful to further centralization and the power held by the bureaucrats of the Center

there is no leftism begging for the destruction of The Center and a reconstitution of competing social and political hierarchies is there?

Not really, classical liberals and socialists alike were absolutely obsessed with destroying all semblance of local laws, customs, traditions, and classes. I say "not really" because anarchists at least theoretically want the destruction of the center

but they are in lockstep with all other leftists on wanting customs and traditions done away with. And of course their worldview is so eminently retarded that they probably would end up getting ruled by a center anyway.

Because surprise, surprise, if your political community has no sense of its own worth, locality, and customs, you'll easily get subsumed by bureaucrats 1,000 miles away.

Well I mean duh, of course they're all leftists, they just come in a lot of flavors haha. Flavors that claim to have substantive difference, but at the end of the day really don't. I will give you that it is rather interesting that anarchists and central-planning communists

can be said to be on the same side of the political spectrum, but that really isn't anymore weird than claiming Burke, de Maistre, Pius X, Hitler, and Trump are all on the same side lol.
