Sort of but not really. It's true that Trump didn't want to throw a revolution, but he certainly wanted to reform the system The problem is that neoliberalism is a kind of "complete package," where even moderate reforms do immense damage to its entire ideological edificehttps://twitter.com/LoFiRepublican/status/1391533668959723524 …

Campain sloganeering aside what specific parts of the system do you believe he earnestly wanted to reform

Free trade and immigration, as others have mentioned. Reindustrializing America. These aren't trivial things either, these are critical parts of globalism, which neoliberalism encompasses

Trump's steel tarrifs were less severe than Bush Jr's, he deported fewer illegal immigrants than Obama and manufacturing jobs gains under his tenure were on par with those of the last two administrations. Over 2000 factories closed since 2016. Nothing changed

Nothing changed other than Obama cooking the books on his fake "deportations" while Trump was trying to end overland illegal immigration altogether, as he succeeded in slashing legal immigration as well, and raised working class wages for the first time in two generations

The numbers on H1Bs out of Trump were something. The word that employers were actually being required to follow the rules as written and answer questions about why they needed to bring in foreigners for those jobs was significant if unquantifiable (intentionally so, ofc).
