I think when most GOP voters say the 2020 election was rigged, they're referring to the general sense that Trump was ill-treated over the course of his presidency (Russiagate, impeachment, media bias, censorship, etc.) more so than to any specific claims of literal election fraud

This feels obviously right. If a third of the country actually truly believed that a fraudulent election had occurred and, for the first time, our democracy had been snatched away, they would be acting very differently than tweeting a lot!

why? there's enormous suppression of anything more. people who just showed up at a protest and broke no laws are having their lives destroyed over it - not just losing jobs but being placed on no fly lists. people who trespassed are being beaten in solitary confinement.
