What that "else" is is unclear, that's why people are having such a hard time defining it, "successor ideology" etc Whatever it is, if it hates the idea of its own people replenishing itself, it is both mentally and spiritually ill. There's no way around that.

Which is hilarious because that society would be conquered in about a week by one that didn't go that direction and she would get her actual wish.
