Airlines don't issue pilots licenses. It's the FAA. So, for everyone concerned, when it's test time for whomever the applicant, they're all held to the same standard. And if they can't perform, they don't get a license. Key word in this post is 'plan'.

Yea, except that’s not really how affirmative action has played out. The best person doesn’t get the job. Also, who’s to stop the FAA from lowering the bar significantly.
