It's truly frightening and frustrating that half of Republicans believe the January 6th riot was "peaceful," even as the families of dead officers are still mourning those they lost. Misinformation is deadly.

Here's what *actually* doesn't lie - video from all the riots of 2020. If you think the WaPo piece authors are honest then you won't find violence and mayhem here and all you have to do is look. https://fukkot.com/riots/all/

If you read the study you’ll see that there was some violence at the protests, but 96%+ were peaceful. Watching a video highlighting the sub 4% and applying that to the whole is called generalization

You're really going with "96% of protests were non-violent"? Put it this way - the p() of a death by cop when being arrested for a felony is about 1 in 300,000 for a black, 1 in 200k for a white Is your opinion "get over it, 99.999999% of arrests are peaceful"? It's not, is it

Coming up with a broad category "protests" that also includes riots with arson and murder and then pointing to the fact that "protests" make up more of the invented category of "protests" plus riots doesn't minimize the rioting, looting, and murder.
