Dec 2020: we’ve invented Covid vaccines within a year, that’s amazing Feb 2021: wow we’ve landed a craft on Mars, that’s incredible March 2021: please, the big boat, it’s very stuck

Covid vaccine was done in 2 days and delayed for 11 months by a stagnant bureaucracy - this is entirely consistent with unable to unstick a ship.

It's laughable that you trust "authorities" to determine this and that they took 11 months to do so - with a 2 week break after all the data was in because they didn't want to disrupt their schedule to have an extra meeting to vote on it.

"Be glad the authorities (who decided that this was catastrophic enough to shut down all civilized life for a year) *ever* approved a vaccine" Saying it's "short for a vaccine" is an indictment. You could have tested it in a month or two - tops - if it was important.

If that’s true, should just shipped the vaccine immediately. Approve now, let people buy it or opt in or whatever. Can yank it later if it’s not good ‘enough’ or too many side effects. 11 months... dang. Any source on that? Was it really 2 days?
