You're not wrong but the obvious missing piece here is that she sold him one thing and really was delivering another. If he was wife / mother maxing when looking he'd have found some other woman who'd make a better wife / mother. Society fooled him and she benefited.

Okay. If that’s how you wanna see it. And would you think she was perfectly justified to do so? Or would you say she was a heinous bitch? Same standard for both is all I’m saying. If you think he is right to bail if she changes from “what he was sold”- then she also would be.

"Justified" doesn't come into it She's a woman - no one expects women to hold to their word that's why marriage used to be between the man and her family who would also be part of the social structures that enforced the agreement on her. Where did you see me say he should bail?
