hmm seems like trad-adjacent men mostly talk about problems with men, and trad-adjacent women mostly talk about problems with women so I'd pin it to a self-help-y mindset like "focus on the problems you personally can do something about"

That's backwards and wrong. The problems with men are individual and rivalrous - the top x percent of men will be fine no matter what so with effort he can rise into that top %. The problems with women are social and require collective action to solve.

the mechanisms causing the problems with women are social, but I think any given woman who avoids the conditioning and remains personally virtuous will likely be fine herself

No A "virtuous" woman is still in a no-win situation because she can't credibly signal that she's virtuous A woman who doesn't go to bed with a guy on the 1st or 2nd meeting isn't presumed chaste - he presumes she's using him for validation or money and getting dick elsewhere

There's a strong chance that even if she isn't otherwise awful, she's just a cold fish, and not interested in sex

Exactly - neither of the two main things she's signalling are enhancing her mate value. The payoffs to virtue are negative.
