How many times can anonymous right wing bodybuilders be ahead of science before people pay attention?

Why is this? Anonymous bro scientists aren’t smarter than public real scientists & don’t have more to gain than them. So I think it’s bc: - self-experimentation needs no ethics board approval or funding - quicker feedback loop (gainz) - no social constraints on reporting results

Skin in the game is part of it but bro science seeks truth and mainstream science doesn't. Don't be too sure about bro science not being smarter or having more to gain, either. Nothing in the world is more valuable than the forbidden knowledge of how to live well.

Endocrinologists and biochemists definitely have higher IQs than bodybuilders & imo “publish or perish” means the stakes are higher. But bodybuilding’s self-experimentation & honest reporting is creatively productive, albeit w more variance, and academics could learn from them.

"Publish or perish" isn't literal - *anything* can be published as long as the formatting is correct (and it doesn't undermine progressivism)- hence the replication crisis The reality is that there's a filter for intelligence on bro sci vs a filter for conformity in academic sci
