Reagan is obviously over-venerated by establishment cons but he did actually accomplish something - the left was full on with a "surrender to the USSR" plan and he utterly demolished that. They had backup plans, of course.

Offshoring wasn't ever the problem. The problem was regulation and privatized American-style mini-socialism where if you get enough workers together to vote on it, they own a manufacturer. Offshoring was merely routing around the damage.

There's no such thing as a "private union". It's hard to recognize because they have the old "working man" communism rhetoric shielding them but 20th century unions worked the same way that woke employees do in the 21st.

I know what you think you mean but the reality is that there's no such thing because the unions were basically the antifa of the day - above the law because they did the bidding of the state and people who ran who *hated* manufacturing
