I disagree with Guns, Germs and Steel. Diamond makes lots of claims that seem dubious to me. E.g. says zebras seem vastly harder to tame than horses. But you would have to compare against the early wild horses, obviously! We have no reason to think zebras are harder.

So let's go down the list of errors on the book, if it is so rife full of them. Like I said, people point out two things in the book and pretend this is a fatal critique.

I think this is a weak non-argument on your part because you have to: 1) show the book has more errors than any others 2) show that these errors are relevant to the central thesis

The thesis if this is true simply becomes slightly weaker, not irrelevant. Instead of JUST “guns, germs, and steel” we might look to add evidence of other things, like maybe culture, but his general argument for the incredible geological advantage of indo-Europe still stands.
