Normalcy bias is thinking that you can suspend the law and allow rioting and looting for your own paramilitary forces and that the other side would forever continue to obey the courtesies that allow 10 cops to control a mob.https://twitter.com/StmCh_/status/1346878250396622851 …

Actually they would. MAGA fail at step 1 of insurgency and could not win. This low energy riot would be a damp squib. To win against state, you need to be willing to destroy it and have no attachment with it. What does A in MAGA stands for?

"When you strike at the King, you must kill him" If they think they can just go home after "showing some anger" they're going to learn a painful lesson. USG might be unprepared for what happens today but if they come in to work tomorrow what do you think is top priority?

Even most understaffed and underarmed police prescient is prepared to deal with this level of chicken-hawk problem. You need either crybullying with patron' support (SJWs), low level insurgency (BLM), terrorist attacks (Muslims), or Civil war to force state's hand.

MAGA fail at all four, because not just its leaders, but its people are also compromised and in a limbo. This kind of showing anger only works because everyone knows this is theatre, and opposition would use this to tighten its grip even more.

Things are normal until they aren't. Collective knowledge is funny that way.
