War mongering is over - the US is a paper tiger by now that can no longer operate a navy.

Wot? Just did a seminar on this, w a bunch of POLS types and war-fighters. We objectively - in terms of war ready battle-ships or subs that could destroy Earth - have by FAR the best Navy in the world.

Sure. Can't keep destroyers from colliding with commercial shipping and can't fight fires on ships that are docked in port but I bet all the metrics they have at their disposal show that we have a great navy.https://www.navy.mil/Press-Office/Press-Releases/display-pressreleases/Article/2429949/navy-to-decommission-uss-bonhomme-richard/ …

Oh, and as far as subs that "can destroy the world" - I wouldn't bet on that either. US hasn't made tritium since 1988 but don't worry - diversity training is the top priority of the labs that are supposed to do so. https://reason.com/2020/08/13/sandia-laboratory-nuclear-white-male-privilege-training/ …pic.twitter.com/YPgi93mMH0

I'm not sure why I'm replying here, but you posted 2-3 random links, one of which I saw recently on 4chan, about minor issues w the Navy. This is the most recent resources breakdown for the Navy...https://www.navy.mil/Resources/Strategic-Library/ …. The Brit and Chi-Com critiques are on WikiLinks.

The point is that the things that are observable - like being incapable of stopping minor fires on ships docked in port from raging out of control and ultimately destroying ships and other examples are better gauges of the health of the Navy than the Navy's direct statements

In case you didn't notice there is severe institutional rot in this country and the only good measures are ones that aren't gamed and the reports from the Navy on the state of the Navy ("boy, we're great!") are the epitome of measures being gamed.

Crater brain take. Decades of rot then 3.5 years of obfuscation and obstruction - "Trump didn't fix it, better go back to not trying to do *anything* about massive institutional decay". If you tried to come up with a stupider take, you'd fail.
