National Review deserves serious credit for this blistering but fair editorial. Many have argued that conservative intellectuals became abject toadies of Trump, but that's not fair. National Review has been fair and critical of Trump during his tenure.https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/11/trump-election-fraud-disgraceful-endgame/ …

I don't think that's a fair depiction of NR. They are certainly more liberal on race issues than I am, but that is to be expected.

I'm not a fan of that article (also not a fan of its libertarianism), but I don't think it's fair to condemn a magazine because I disagree with one, or even many, of its articles. Lowry and MBD are quite solid defenders of nationalism and immigration restriction.

You can "entertain both sides" while still pushing a particular direction. "See how balanced they are!?" but really, are they? Their editors lure you in with lowry and then publish the conservative case for open borders.https://www.nationalreview.com/2014/07/conservative-case-immigration-reform-alex-nowrasteh/ …

NR has token conservatives to dunk on the same way Bill Maher does on his show or the NY Times op eds do.
