There's a lot of folk Marxism floating around as the default assumption of how the world works which takes an effort to examine and root out. Every pop culture product about revolutions has this as the implicit model and the idea seeps in.
No. Marx was making things up, not describing the world as it actually functions. Revolutions / civil wars happen when elite factions split and the ruling side is no longer agreement capable. There's not some injustice meter that goes into the red.
