Kind of a catch-22. If they're not serious they'd go and start an alternative college. If they *were* serious they would also know that the new college would get cordycepted or (failing that) not cut off from payment processors or eventually raided by FBI tanks.

Correct but "controls the police" has to be understood properly. Part of controlling the police is having the ability to tell them to stand down and look the other way from violence from your paramilitary wing.

This happened w/ college police at Evergreen, then it played out similarly on a city scale w/ BLM. Of course Weinstein has stuck with "Can you believe they turned on me? A true leftist!" brand indignance, and he does serve a role, but as little more than softcore anti-Woke porn.
