You aren't getting the point here, are you? You cited a study to back up a claim. People instantly gave examples of the study making obvious omissions - which you conceded. This means the study is worthless. "Did it include x that is known?" "No" "Then it omitted unknowns too"

Think of the known examples as a software unit test. We know the output a correct function gives - it notices, counts those inputs and returns them as outputs. Failing to give those as an output means the function is broken and is outputting bad data.
