One counterexample disproves a universal, though! The egalitarian fantasy isn't impossible—it's "just" off by 1–3 standard deviations. Embryo selection (https://www.gwern.net/Embryo-selection …) will eat through that in no time! 1/2

(You might think progs won't let the research happen, but that's just their Nazi antibodies overreacting—they'll change their tune once it's clear that the technology can be wielded in the service of making our universalist ideological fever dream real!) 2/2

Progs don't breed for low IQ and violent impulsiveness *by accident* - that's what makes good prog clients. All of traditional society was "embryo selection" for higher IQ but they dismantled it.

Um, this is obviously false on the level of the psychology of the individual Universalist believer? (Maybe you want to claim that the emergent egregore behavior is very different?) I've changed my fact-beliefs a lot, but I remember what egalitarianism-as-religion feels like

It is a claim about the egregore - which has malleability as to which moral dimensions to emphasize. There's a whole genre of totally ineffective criticism of progressive policies that points out how the particular policy isn't the best way of attaining the given progressive end
