Yes, M/F reproduction is different, but for any given trait, you will find overlapping distributions, usually with greater male variability. If you want to make (for example) a special forces squad, you will be able to find some women right at the edge of the distinction.

Wrong wrt the actual physical differences between men and women; IIRC the average woman has about the same strength as the average 70+ year old man Even that is besides the point; a squad of women would rather be captured than fight b/c capture leads to reproductive success

@CovfefeAnon "Desire to be captured in a fight" is also a trait with overlapping distributions, but where the female average is a lot higher than the male average.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
"Get captured and made a war bride" has zero overlap with "Get captured, enslaved and castrated [or just killed]"

That's not true, the Japs in wwii didn't capture all Chinese women, they killed many of them. And the Americans didn't kill Jap men, some of them even got American wives eventually. So there is some overlap in outcomes from being on the losing side in a war.

The women you'd be picking for your military would all be captured because you're picking them on physical criteria that guarantees attractiveness Also note that there's overlap on "gets killed" but no overlap where losing men get captured and married off to conquering women

There are even some Japanese men with American wives now. Of course, this is an area where the differences are most extreme.https://youtu.be/a4CuEiVtG58

The US is a particularly strange global empire but your point is valid - there is *some* tiny overlap between men's and women's outcomes of losing a war - less than 1% of losing men will wind up with brides from the winning side.
