You wishing the word were used that way doesn't make it so.

Get off Twitter, talk to normal people. It's how ~80% of people use "racist".

You're a fool working to preserve 20 year old leftism. They don't have a use for it any more, so it's gone. If people don't know the right usage of that old memetic weapon they'll learn it at a mandatory office struggle session.

Who gives a damn about the left? I don't judge my morality based on their beliefs - I have way more self-respect than that. I'm more likely to reference Ayn Rand on the question of defining racism than any of them, and I'm not exactly a Rand fanboy. And business isn't Maoist.

Racism is real whether you think people are using the word to freely or not and that account is on the wrong side of the line: "Most White people...support self-determination for black people...Black people...want to rob you of your wealth, your history, and ultimately your life"

Of course he's on the wrong side of the line. I've seen a few racists here recently, and it's depressing. But I want them to be better, so I'll offer them some light. Most won't partake, but I hope some will. Cov, you can disagree with the left and not be racist. Please try.

The logical response is "why?" because that implies the rest of it - it's a non-concept that just means "is an enemy of progressivism" and plenty of "moderate" progressives have been finding this out in a very personal way over the last few months.

Like I said above: > Racism is treating people differently based on their ethnicity. It's inherently a collectivist way to view the world - individual people don't matter, only the semi-arbitrary groups we put them in. I'm not a fan.

Are you a tiger? Do you have claws & teeth and the ability to sneak up on prey? If not then you're a social animal who can only exist if your band's men can stop other bands of men from killing you and taking your women - doesn't much matter if you're "not a fan of collectivism"

Modern humans are way better at ambush hunting than tigers. And yes, prevention of kidnapping and rape is very important. This is why I often support cops. But my tribe for that purpose is a nation-state, and mine doesn't even pretend to be ethnic in nature. Does yours?

Yours doesn't function; the synthetic tribe of communists has a more powerful organizing force of "kill everyone, destroy things and take stuff" A video of that is what started this thread. The organizing principle of "I agree with their moral framework, but slower" has died

And yet, we're not communists, nor even very close to it. It might just be that their organizing principle sucks. Effective on small scales or against weak opposition, but not nearly enough to take over a functioning country.
