Sullivan is a racist who used his perch at @NYMag to push the idea that Black people are genetically less inteligent, that white supremacist Charles Murray has "legitimate conservative ideas and serious scientific arguments" and that there are "positive racial stereotypes"https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1285304669363933184 …

The better example is @sullydish. If there's no place in nonconservative media for someone like Andrew Sullivan, an excellent writer and far bigger fan of, say Barack Obama, than I ever was, then where is this all going? The changed vision of media is creating a monoculture. https://twitter.com/IAmDeathRay/status/1285302402753724421 …

It's always struck me as interesting that there are some, generally on the left, who believe that we cannot study the race differences particularly IQ, and I presume it's because they have already made an assumption and that it's too "hurtful", their own assumption. (Racists!)

People on the left do study statistics related to race. What we do not so is see differences in things like IQ and throw our hands up and say, welp I guess they are just born that way, nothing can be done (like education, community investment, social programs etc)

You can either say a statistic is an inherent biological reality or is caused via socioeconomic factors. If the former, you better prove it. If the latter, you better be trying to ameliorate the conditions that led to the gap. But racists cant do the former, won't do the latter.

No shit, biology is informed by circumstance. If youre poor & dont get enough to eat you're going to be shorter/weaker in adulthood than you were coded for in your genes. I'marguing that whatever stat or diff you're looking at now is not inherent & unchangeable, & can be improved

A very bizarre form of malnutrition that leaves certain groups less likely to produce physicists (because of nutritional deficiencies that lower IQ) but also more likely to end up tall enough to make up most of the NBA and fast enough to make up every single starting NFL CB
