The fundamental problem is that only, roughly, 2.3% of African American have IQs over 115. No doubt Dalton School, with its $65 million endowment, already buys its fair share of >115 IQ blacks, but there just aren't enough to go around to meet the immense demand for them.

The reason only 7 of the 895 slots at public Stuyvesant HS, an exam school, were offered to blacks in 2019 is because if you are black and smart enough to get into Stuyvesant, you can probably get a free ride to Dalton, Collegiate, Horace Mann, etc etc. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/18/nyregion/black-students-nyc-high-schools.html#:~:text=At%20Stuyvesant%20High%20School%2C%20out,and%2013%20the%20year%20before ….

As someone who taught test prep for elite high schools: these tests are bull shit and do not reveal anything about a child’s native intelligence. They can be easily gamed. All these tests demonstrate is whose parents are willing to drop 1000s of $ on test prep.

The tests can be easily gamed if you're smart enough to figure out how! Oh wait...

Or you have parents willing to shell out 1000s. Glad you picked up on the subtext.

They only teach the real tricks in the really expensive classes! There are whole books on how to do math problems but the problem is they cost millions of dollars each.
