Now consider the looters in MN; the authorities could do nothing to stop them except deploy drones to record faces and match them up with government assistance rolls and government employment rolls and simply end payments to the rioters. That would be pretty effective, no?

Yet that doesn't happen - why not? Is it too hard of a technological problem? No, it isn't. Kind of strange that a bunch of people who only survive by collecting government payments aren't scared of the consequences of blatant law breaking, isn't it?

High / low vs middle but "high" isn't the fat man in a top hat. The riots serve the purposes of power because they're so simple to end yet aren't; the stupidity is that people can't break out of folk Marxism. "You see Target makes money when their stores get burned down"

You can tell Target makes money when their stores burn down because they hold biannual store-burning parties, inviting all the local arsonists.

The slaves were never freed. They are rioting because they were told to riot. They will stop when they are told to stop. The rioters are on welfare and workfare? Well, yes, obviously they are the most sensitive to the hegemon's wishes.

The thing about hiding power is that there's no clear command structure so they can't simply order the rioters to stop; look at the insane methods being used to try to order them to stand down:https://twitter.com/rezaaslan/status/1266773788638670848 …

Yeah that's true. Responsibility laundering. There might be some unwanted inertia there, but I'm betting the shutdown order hasn't come from anyone serious, yet. I'm diagnosing this as America colour revolution'ing itself.

Let me go all reachy reacherson for a second. Okay, so obvs the hegemon wants to Spring Trump out of office. But it can't get away with rioting at home. Until the corona lockdown provides an excuse. It can be blamed on pre-existing tensions.

Meanwhile someone goes all wink wink nudge nudge with Trump in the back room. "Throw the election. Or else." However, there are still many open variables. It could be a few things.

If someone tells Trump to throw the election it's the equivalent of a cop saying "just confess, it'll go easier on you". If he loses the left will likely treat him like the Romanoffs.
