Can I suggest your next thread? Check out the fast twitch muscle factor in elite weightlifters, esp powerlifters. Now look at Olympic medals in the category... & u will see some surprising entrants (Iran, etc.) who also r not long-limbed. Is there a correlation w/ ur thread here?

Limb length isn't a universal advantage in all weightlifting events. For example, long arms with short legs would be ideal for a deadlift (both combine to mean you have to move the weight less distance) while short arms are ideal for a bench press (shorter bar path again).
