      Q. Why is the SAT college admissions test falling out of fashion? My A. Because of ever-growing Asian Supremacy The Asian - White gap grew from 10 points to 100 points over last 20 years: https://www.unz.com/isteve/q-why-is-the-sat-falling-out-of-favor-a-asian-supremacy/ …pic.twitter.com/fSJMVJ5aEo

Is the Asian supremacy also demonstrating some of the faults with the SAT? It's a common experience that Asians are outstanding technicians, but frequently not very creative. Lots of Lang Langs, but no Beethovens. Does that tell us that the SAT misses something?

The Chinese are said to have had high stakes meritocratic testing for Mandarin jobs since the year 595, which probably means they have had intensive test prep since the year 596.

I've read that too. My question is - has that Chinese (and more broadly Asian) tendency squeezed out creativity? What is lost by focusing so obsessively on tests? The Chinese also tended to kill anyone with a rebellious streak. Are their Beethovens all dead?

I reviewed Chen Kaige's 2002 movie "Together" that wonders about that question. The Chinese director sees Western classical music as suggesting that Western culture has a high gear that Chinese culture has never achieved:https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2003/06/06/Together-one-sweet-Mandarin-film/10231054934482/ …

I know a lot of kids and their test scores. ALL Non-Asian kids of any other race with scores over 1200 are sharp; over 1300, they're exceptional. I've met more Asian high scorers than any other race. They range from ordinary to exceptional.

That is, to restate what college admissions officers have figured out for decades, a high scoring Asian is not guaranteed to have the attributes we expect of that score. They *might*. I know some amazing high scoring kids of all races. But only in Asians is it not guaranteed.

This applies to Jews as well and the memory of when people acted on this is etched into their culture of holding grudges as one of the greatest affronts of all time. HBD isn't limited to group differences in g

Not in the sense that in that Asians underachieve their test scores but in that selective forces (in evolution) pushed Jews to higher g meaning that a would-be signal of overall quality is muted because the group mean is higher on the trait.
