Suppression of covid is obviously going to involve regionalisation, with England's different regions running separate regimes. Never thought I'd live to see the heptarchy restored, but needs must when the devil vomits on your eiderdown

Toby. With the best will in the world, we have a pandemic involving a very contagious disease with a fatality rate likely in the region of 1% which, left unchecked, will kill many more thousands of people long before their time. This is not the time for culture war-style politics
