Yes, and the point is no one wanted to be at ground zero where the majority of severe cases were suppose to be. But that didn't happen. They remain empty in anticipation of a "spike" that isn't coming.

Viruses have infinite patience; this one is highly contagious and kills at least 1% of the people who get it. Exponential growth not only means that one or two cases will quickly infect most of the planet it also means that almost all of the infections happen near the peak.

Yes a few hospitals are extremely busy. But otherwise most are half empty and yet they get daily serenades for their bravery. Doing what exactly? And yes they discourage people from coming unless they have COVID symptoms.
