Yes, there are differences other than diet, obviously - but that undercuts your original point about India demonstrating the healthiness of vegetarian diets.

West Africans dominate sprinting events for obvious genetic reasons but West Africans living outside Africa do better. Getting into the details about this sort of thing distracts from the larger point that vegetarian diets won't literally kill you but don't optimize for fitness.

Kenyans also need to go back to their traditional diets and stop eating all that processed junk. Especially ugali and the use of vegetable oils. Our grand-parents ate all the organ meats
