The remarkable thing about mass affirmative action is how unnecessary it is. As of last year, the average Black SAT is up to 950. Without preferences, minority kids would just have to go to Rutgers or SIU, instead of Yale. Why BOTHER to discriminate so massively, to "fix" that?

Eh. I'm not going to argue all day, but I don't think the 4,870 universities that practice affirmative action are "planning" this together...or that more than 1% of brothers work in "corporate diversity." As an exec, this seems more like a case of "incompetent mestastization."

I.e., the original idea of AA was that Black scores were being held back by racism, and admitting Black kids to an anti-racist environment would result in quick score equalization. Thousands of programs sprang up/were praised before quant testing occurred...disproving the thesis.
