Correct, except with one digression. Romans digested diversity better than Christianity. Pagan Romans completely integrated Dalmations, while Church was not able to integrate Slavs. Roman empire decayed, and resulting weakness is what emboldened Christians.https://twitter.com/CaptainMeowMori/status/1227897328616361984 …

Roman paganism fell to Christianity because Christians followed St Paul's teachings on women and restrained their sexual freedom. Men with devoted wives can cooperate; men without cannot or can't be bothered to put in effort.

That is also a factor. Christianity and Islam are not organic religions- they were not starting from Tabula rasa of organized religiosity. At any given point in time, there are thousands of cults and millions of godmen. Outbreaks happen when multiple factors converge.

Shift birthdate of Muhammad by half a century, and he was getting ROFLstomped, even if everything in Arabia remains same. As for women, it is not sufficient condition as sexually conservatives cults have also been wiped out with as high frequency as promiscuous ones.

It's not a sufficient condition but it's a necessary one; ultimately cultures that are sexually permissive for women will be conquered by those that are not. That's the real genetic heritage of Eurasia where there have been many, many "total Y chromosome replacement" events
