I agree with your description of property rights both descriptively and proscriptively *BUT* your interlocutor is correct that these beliefs make you not a libertarian - so much the worse for libertarianism.

"Libertarian" *as used* doesn't acknowledge this concept of property rights since that concept has all kinds of implications that libertarians generally don't accept (the most milquetoast of which is immigration restriction) 1/2
