To be clear: there's also a "lack of basis for the belief" that genetics explain none of the B/W gap. The fact is that we don't know how much of the gap is due to genetics v. environment—and that it's likely both play roles.

Someone should demonstrate *any evidence at all* for environment before we conclude that there's any environmental effect. There are zero known replicable environmental factors that influence adult IQ - other than the absence of severe deprivation and brain injury.
