The "you" that considers your pre-birth position in an ethical framework is the outcome of selective pressure for people to have specific ethical frameworks. The "veil of ignorance" never results in inhuman societies like that of eusocial insects.

More narrowly we can expect groups of different humans to pick different types of societies that vary exactly in the ways that human groups differ in behavioral traits. Why expect a single solution to human organization to emerge as opposed to the many we actually see irl?
