Impressively, George W. Bush actually apologized for his Ownership Society strategy in his memoir "Decision Points." But almost nobody noticed him doing it, so the ties between the Rove-Bush push for Hispanic votes thru easy mortgages and the Housing Bubble are ignored.

The financial collapse of 2008 can be traced directly to Jimmy Carter and the Community Reinvestment Act of 77. Then the Clinton DOJ interpreted the Act to mean that banks must make a certain % of mortgages to minorities. Then people like o'bama & groups like ACORN extorted banks
