Basically, in sexist countries like the United Arab Emirates, the males are lazy, so only downtrodden girls will take tough STEM courses. In feminist Sweden, in contrast, women can do whatever they want, which often turns out to be paid childcare, so the diligent guys do STEM. https://twitter.com/a_centrism/status/1198150500115533825 …

Just like Steve Sailer - dismissing genetic explanations out of hand. Maybe ME women were under selective pressure to be interested in STEM when Euro women weren't?

Muslim Middle Eastern women aren't particularly good at STEM, but they do work harder at learning STEM subjects than many Muslim Middle Eastern men do.

Interesting isn't it? Selection for laziness in men has implications as to what was successful at leaving descendants in the evolutionary past.

In a culture where it’s frowned upon for women to work outside the home, why would there be selection for lazy men? It would favor hard working men since they don’t have a choice on whether to be a provider or not
