Crime in the US continues to fall: https://www.themarshallproject.org/2019/09/30/new-fbi-data-violent-crime-still-falling?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sprout&utm_source=twitter …pic.twitter.com/fSba4IdhwE

Violent crime flatted out because American cities were ethnically cleansed a generation ago and that set the pattern - people now simply move away from crime into ethnically homogeneous neighborhoods because American governance is incapable of protecting people from crime

The vast majority of violent crime occurs within racial groups, so if your logic held wouldn't greater racial homogeneity lead to higher rates of crime due to increased local concentration?

No. The within groups effect is only because everyone moves away from black people because American government has totally given up on stopping crime from them. Most is within group for one specific group.

Okay, I can point you to the BJS data that supports my view. What are your sources?

Here are stats that totally refute your point: Japan - homogeneous, low crime Post-ethnically cleansed Detroit, Baltimore, Camden, Newark, etc. homogeneous neighborhoods, high crime (also bad at honest stat reporting) Same stats, you are just interpreting them badly.

Okay, so you have no sources of data. You have theories premised on articles of faith, cool. I know enough about psychology to know that faith is often impervious to empirical data to the contrary, so discussing this further isn't likely to be useful. Good luck & all the best.

Data on crime in Japan is abundantly available. Here's data on Detroit's population. Crime goes up in lockstep with "homogeneity" 🤔 I have the same data as you, you just have blinders on and can't interpret it. Your theory that homogeneity increases crime is easily disproven.pic.twitter.com/guc2Out2SB

      1) I didn't offer a theory, I pointed out the flaw in the theory you proffered 2) Japanese crime statistics are irrelevant to discussion of crime rates in the US 3) Your table only shows demographic change over time, in order to make your point you'd have include the...

... corresponding crime stats over the same period 4) If were to provide those crime stats with demographic change, you'd then have to prove that the demographic change and ultimately the concentration of black people caused the change in the crime stats which would involve...

It's not about mixing, it's about certain groups being more crime prone. Japan is relevant b/c your epicycle was that homogeneity is what causes crime and it is nearly entirely homogeneous and low crime because it's homogeneous with a low crime group. http://www.lagriffedulion.f2s.com/hood.htm pic.twitter.com/TqejsU1X5D
