The problem with the Biden/Ukraine stuff as a charge against Trump is at root you have obvious, blatant side door payoffs that didn’t even attempt subtlety, which nothing was (or is, probably) gonna be done about. So I don’t feel sorry for the Bidens, I just can’t.
I don't even get what Trump is supposed to have done wrong here. Saying that obvious corruption that Biden bragged about should be "investigated" w/ no outcome (other than a harshly worded letter condemning the actions but saying they don't rise to the level of a crime, natch)?

Reading some lefties/centers on here I think I do finally get it. In their conception, Trump as President was leveraging US policy to try to deploy a foreign country’s apparatus against a US citizen for no other reason than his being a (presumed) political opponent.

I can’t really find fault with anyone for thinking that’s, like, bad. :) In my calculus tho, it hinges on the question of the Bidens’ behavior itself. It seems obvious to me there was blatant pocket-lining, and the reaction to Trump just makes one think it’s considered ‘normal’.
