The warnings about violence are useful. Rights are Schelling Points - cross a line and someone can go berserk. This is vulnerable to a salami slice attack by aiming for "reasonable" violations and doing it over and over. Drawing a bright line stops that.

Bullshit to the idea that threats of violence are useful in any political discussion ever. It's self-righteous chest thumping and idiotic machismo. They are the mirror image of the agitators on the other side talking about gun confiscation. Both types deserve each other.

This is just like the "Proud Boys" and "Antifa". Both types of violence legitimize the other and the ones who are hurt are everyone else who doesn't want the streets filled with mob violence. Extremes create their mirror by being beyond reasonable positions.
