That is seriously the most insane part of that thread. The notion that liberals, at least conflated with the modern Democratic party supporters are "wary of declaring disagreement out of bounds" is absurd. Every few years at least there's a new forbidden wrongthink.

I wasn't even thinking of that bit of absurdity - I was more thinking of how much they respect "democratic due process" when almost every victory they've ever had has been due to going entirely around voter feedback I don't even believe in democracy and that assertion bothers me
