Bran is not Bran. Bran's the 3-eyed raven; the voice of the old gods and children of the forest. With the Seven's temple and priesthood destroyed, the North independent, and a new King Beyond the Wall this suggests a resurgence of the old order destroyed by the Night King #GoThttps://twitter.com/benshapiro/status/1130344660251975680 …

What if Bran was actually the most evil person on the show? He uses the threat of the Night King to knock off a couple of Dany’s dragons, then randomly spills Jon’s lineage just in time to prevent a happy ending and precipitate Dany going nuts and Jon killing her. Boom, king!

I actually liked the ending. Dany was eaten by her inner demons and paid the price. Jon the hero saved the world, but murdered his aunt, queen, and lover and was exiled. The North is free but a shell of itself (how many houses did they lose?)

The Lannisters died in a rather boring way, getting neither their just deserts nor an interesting death. The old gods won the #GameofThrones Arya's doomed to roam, never finding peace or happiness, but possibly contentment. L+R=J came to a nihilistic nothing.

All-in-all, the ending fits the world GRRM creates. Moderately nihilistic. Generally unjust. Not happy. But it didn't go overboard (everyone dies, Cersei wins, Night King wins) which would have all been cheap nihilism. A good ending. Better than I expected after Ep. 4. #GoT

      Replying to @FreeNortherner

The end state seemed reasonable but almost nothing about the actions of the characters in the episode made sense I also think that eventually Drogon would find Jon and a lot of things would be undone
