    I think $54B is also a bit high, according to our calculations should be in $30-$40B range. $54B is still great for Xiaomi shareholders. Should be good capital boost to invest more in some meaningful R&D, acquisitions and less marketing.

    So is selling its >2 billion H shares at HK$17 each, which will put its valuation at...well, way lower than they’ve expected.

    Great reboot long overdue but a long long way to go, still scores low on our Location Platform index inspite of strong premium user base. One area where Apple has been seriously behind competition and missing out on the perks of a great location platform.

    Yup.. chalk out a nice upgrade path to Android and make those feature phone users taste and use Android services right at feature phone stage and lock them in. e.g Google Assistant on JioPhone

    wants its hands on the data from the bottom of the pyramid i.e. Feature phone users, which until now were off the grid. Investment in OS will help Google get its services on their platform. There by gaining access to valuable data.
