    I am wishing Philadelphia anti-violence good luck and safe travels as his annual Stop Killing Us March/Walk Against Gun Violence starts at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 9 from the north side of City Hall. They will travel from Philadelphia to Washington, DC.

    My office and announced that we will ceremonially rename the 1800 block of Wharton Street "Walter P. Lomax Jr. M.D. Way" during a ceremony on the street on August 26, 11 am-1 pm.Dr. Lomax is the late owner/founder of WURD Radio. Stay tuned for more details on this event.

    I held my meeting on the street corner because people have died due to gun violence in past years either on this block or neighboring blocks in this area of Southwest Philadelphia. 2/
