I’d love to share my story of overcoming obesity with you and your audience. I weighed 355 lbs, in the photos on the left. I was in a size 28. That was over a decade ago. Now, I’m in a size 8! I’m a mother of 4! #noexcuses #youcandoit #weightlosstransformationpic.twitter.com/Wc9GLMA0yq

I understand glorifying her size if it was caused by a medical issue and she emmits self love in spite of that. However it's not, it's gluttony. On top of that she's horrible to a lot of her fans on social media. Not a good role model for this message for more than one reason.

Shaming and abuse are of course awful, but we wish Tess and others in the #bodypositivity movement would focus on both mental and physical wellness. We cannot ignore the medical realities of obesity.https://twitter.com/NASH_AWARE/status/1035154586187771904?s=19 …

Does cosmopolitan have a history of putting models of all shapes and sizes on its front cover? If not then this proves they are simply in the game of creating controversy for financial game. What next, Teen Weekly putting a paedophile on its front cover?

It doesn’t prove you need it. It just proves you’ll dismiss facts in the face of body positivity that says, hey it’s okay to be morbidly obese. If you have to have acceptance from others then it is clear you haven’t accepted it yourself and you’re not happy.
