Despite the rich history for the #AtlasV today's launch will be its first publically acknowledged mission directly going to geostationary orbit. And even after including classified flights it was believed that the Atlas V probably only flew such a profile once before!

Not sure if that was direct to geostationary. The NROL-67/USA-250 upper stage has a 1.86 rev/day mean motion with 0.488 eccentricity. That looks like the 2h48m coast also used on CLIO and (I recall) one or two other launches. AFAIK all previous direct to GEO were with Delta IV.
